I've never introduced formula feeding before and I'm scared because I want to try for 4 days

It is absolutely safe to introduce formula feeding during the day while continuing to breastfeed in the morning and evening, even if you are working a field job for 4 days. Many mothers choose to combine breastfeeding with formula feeding for various reasons, including work obligations. Here are some tips to ensure a smooth transition:

  • Start gradually: Begin by introducing one bottle of formula per day, preferably during your work hours. This will allow your baby's digestive system to adjust slowly.

  • Choose an appropriate formula: Consult with your pediatrician to select a high-quality infant formula that suits your baby's needs. Opt for formulas that closely resemble breast milk composition.

  • Maintain breastfeeding routine: Continue nursing your baby in the morning and evening as usual. This will help maintain your milk supply and keep up the bond between you and your baby.

  • Pumping at work: If possible, try pumping breast milk during your breaks or lunchtime at work. This will help relieve any discomfort from engorgement and ensure a steady milk supply.

  • Proper storage of breast milk: If you are unable to pump at work, make sure you have proper storage containers available so that you can safely store any expressed breast milk until you return home.

  • Communicate with caregivers: If someone else will be taking care of your baby while you're at work, provide them with clear instructions on how to prepare and feed the formula correctly.

Remember, every mother's situation is unique, so do what works best for you and your baby. If you have any concerns or questions, consult with a lactation consultant or your healthcare provider for personalized advice.

I also combined formula and breastfeeding
What was his or her reaction after introducing the formula?
She eaten formula in a hospital, since she was born, because I had a c section, so that was first she eaten. The next day we started breastfeeding. But she didn't refuse neither. She was eating both normally.
