My 1-month-old baby sleeps for 6-7 hours straight at night without feeding. Is this normal and okay for his age?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

It is not uncommon for a 1-month-old baby to sleep for longer stretches at night without waking up. However, every baby is different, and their sleep patterns can vary. Some babies may naturally have longer periods of uninterrupted sleep, while others may wake up more frequently. As long as your baby is gaining weight appropriately, has regular bowel movements, and is generally content during awake times, there is usually no cause for concern. It's important to note that newborns still need frequent feedings during the day to ensure they are getting enough nutrition. If you have any concerns about your baby's sleeping habits or overall health, it's always best to consult with your pediatrician.

You need to wake him/her every 2-3 hours if breastfeeding or 3-4 hours if feeding on formula.

Babies younger than 4 weeks old should not go longer than 4–5 hours without food.
