My baby is 42 days old am breastfeeding but low supply so doctor said to supplement with formula...how much formula should I give my baby? I don't know stomach capacity

Breastfeed first, everytime, so that your milk supply doesnt drop.. and then you can give baby small amounts, 30-60ml.. if s/he wants more you can tell cause they either cry or search for more. If they are full they will refuse the bottle. Just don't force the bottle to the baby and let them guide you. But please insist on breastfeeding, it is the very best for the baby. You can try ways to increase your milk supply, like feeding frequently, pumping, drinking milk, eating oats.. etc.

In case of someone who goes to work during the day and only breast feed in the afternoon and in the night? (I don't pump as the day care doesn't allow expressed milk anymore after a certain incident regarding such and I can't pump at work either ) how do I ensure that in the afternoon or by the time I breast feed I have high milk supply?
