I have tried various remedies, but my baby's rashes are not going away. They have reduced slightly, but the skin is still red and not healing properly. What should I do to help my baby's skin recover fully?
Artificial Intelligence Health Assistant's Answer

If your baby's rash is not improving despite trying different remedies, there are several steps you can take to help their skin heal. Firstly, ensure that you are keeping the affected area clean and dry. Gently wash the area with mild soap and water, then pat it dry with a soft towel or let it air dry completely before applying any creams or ointments.

Next, consider using a diaper rash cream or ointment specifically designed for babies. Look for products that contain zinc oxide or petroleum jelly as they create a protective barrier on the skin and promote healing.

It's also important to give your baby some diaper-free time to allow their skin to breathe and reduce moisture build-up. Lay them on a clean towel or waterproof mat and let them go without diapers for short periods throughout the day.

If the rash persists or worsens despite these measures, consult your pediatrician or dermatologist for further evaluation and guidance. They may recommend prescription-strength creams or medications if necessary.

Remember, every baby is different, so what works for one may not work for another. Be patient and persistent in finding the right solution for your little one's sensitive skin.

Try giving the baby an oats bath

Put the oats in a sock and use it like a bath bomb

Also ensure that you change diaper every 3 hours and use diaper cream each time.
